It’s been a while since I posted anything on WordPress, but as I approach my 50th birthday I thought I’d write a few words on what I’ve learned over the years…but alas, everything seemed so cliche! I’ts all been said and expressed much better over the years through some of my favourite movies and songs so what better way to describe the last 50 years experience than through some of my favourite movie quotes and lyrics…

Don’t Call Me A Christian

I don’t quite know how to express how I’m feeling at the moment, having watched Donald lay his hand on the Bible and reading about how he attended a prayer service before the inauguration. Over the years I’ve been quite vocal on one of my pet hates being people who judge others without knowing their heart, so I’m a bit conflicted by my feelings on this issue.

Durban Delight

Every year my company shuts down for 3-4 weeks over Christmas and I often go away to family and am not in my hometown for the holiday season. For the last 2 years however I have been home and this year I decided to be a tourist in my own city and see it with new eyes.

Lesotho Day Tripping

Sometimes in the mad rush and stress of my working life, I get the opportunity to do something out of the ordinary. I was asked to make a day trip to a customer based in Maseru, Lesotho. Amid the angst of work related issues I was just a teeny bit excited to see part of South Africa that I’d never seen before as it involved a passport and crossing the border into the Lesotho mountains.
